
IFSW Europe at the most remote area of Europe – Vladivostok city on Pacific Ocea
Russia Union of social workers and social Pedagogues was part of organising committee of the First Congress of social workers of Primorsky Kray.
The capital of Primorsky Kray is Vladivostok. The city is situated nearly 7000 km from Moscow. They have 7000 social workers supporting vulnerable elderly, disabled, children and families in need.
The Union organised it in cooperation with regional social services department.
As part of the congress the Eurasia Forum was organised. It was Forum number 12. Every year associations of social workers of Russia and Korea meet to discuss important social work issues. This year we were concentrating of cooperation of generations – elderly and young people – and the role of social workers in this process.
The field visits were organised as well for Eurasia Forum participants
Russian Union and Korea Association invited for this Forum Japan and China associations to share our format and to contribute to the topic. It was really very important and made event more interesting
IFSW Europe representatives met IFSW Asia Pacific in Vladivostok – the most remote corner of the east of Europe ( Russia)
