IFSW is delighted to announce a new era for the International Journal of Social Work Values and Ethics with the appointment of Robert McKinney as the new editor. This change comes with the publication of Volume 22 Issue 1, succeeding Stephen M. Marson’s illustrious 24-year tenure. Marson’s leadership has been instrumental in promoting ethical discourse and academic excellence within the social work profession, a legacy that McKinney is set to continue.
Pascal Rudin, who is a member of the journal’s policy board, commented: “Stephen Marson’s tenure has been marked by an unwavering commitment to fostering a forum for critical dialogue, ethical reflection, and scholarly excellence within the field of social work. Steve, your contributions have not only enriched the journal but have also played a pivotal role in advancing the profession’s commitment to ethical and values-based practice globally. On a personal note and on behalf of the entire IFSW, I extend our deepest gratitude for your hard work, guidance, and the positive impact you have made. Your efforts have significantly contributed to enhancing discourse within the field and have left an indelible mark on the profession“.
