After the many years, Ellen Mouravieff-Apostol had successfully represented IFSW at the UN in Geneva; there was a transition period during which a new Team of representatives had to organise itself. We had to find new ways to operate in this extremely complex surrounding and structure of the UN in Geneva. We had to build up new networks and had to define priority areas of action. These tasks have been achieved during the last two years. We find now an active, informed, competent and effective IFSW representation at the UN in Geneva.
As all our work is done on a honorary and volunteer base, we can of course not compete with professional international civil society NGO having professional and paid staff for analysis and lobbying at their disposition.
